My name is Julia aka DJ JUL3Z. I was born in Portland, OR on a Friday night in 1988. Moved to Jerome, Idaho when I was 11. After graduating from JHS in 2006, I moved across the Snake River Canyon and settled here in Twin Falls, ID. I attended CSI for a degree in Psychology, and D&L Academy for Cosmetology.
From there I have worked in Salons, Sales Offices, and Restaurants/ Event Centers.
Though I thoroughly enjoyed all of my jobs and learned a lot, I never found that they truly quite fit the bill.
But one thing has remained;
MUSIC.
I hadn't realized that on my pursuit of a "good" career, I had skipped over the one constant thing in my life.
There was a playlist for every stage, season and year.
Music had helped me celebrate the good, and endure the bad.
Music was there, and it was time I honored the gifts music had given me.
I started as a Karaoke DJ, stepping in for a friend. After, I threw money on the bar in front of the best DJ I know, and demanded he show me how to mix music. LUCKILY, he agreed. One laptop, one controller and two speakers later, I was hooked, and haven't looked back.
